Pupil Premium
What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is additional funding from Government to boost the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities to reach their potential. This funding is aimed at addressing current underlying inequalities that exist between children from disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers.
It is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years. Schools also receive funding for children:
• who have been ‘Looked After’ by the Local Authority continuously for more than six months
• adopted from care under the Adoption and Children Act 2002
• who have left care under a Special Guardianship or residence order
• of service personnel.
At Eastfield Primary School we work hard to ensure that we use the Pupil Premium funding to make the most impact for our children.
